December 6, 2011: We released a batch torrent of all the FH season 1 episodes, which contains some v2's (FH1v2, 2v2; 17v2; 37v2, 38v2, 39v2, 40v2, and 41v2). (EDIT: It’s also on BakaBT now.) If you need DDL, see Futagohime DDL.

November 14, 2011: We are going to release FH1v2, 2v2; 17v2; 37v2, 38v2, 39v2, 40v2, and 41v2. All of them are already ready to release, except FH17v2 and FH41v2. Please wait for a little longer.

NOTE: We will release FH1v2, 2v2; 37v2, 38v2, 39v2, 40v2, and 41v2 within the next few days (1v2 means Episode 1 Version 2); we will also release 17v2 as soon as possible.
We released the first episode of Fushigiboshi no Futagohime on January 21, 2007—4 years 9 months ago. This means that on average it took us about 34 days to release one episode of FH. Thank you for your patience.

October 22, 2011: FH50/51 RC3 were encoded today. RC3 stands for Release Candidate 3, and they are most likely to be final (RC4 is quite rare). For example, FH49 was released 3 days after RC3 was encoded; FH48, 2 days after RC3. This time we’ll have to final-check 2 episodes at once, so it may take slightly longer, but surely they’re coming soon—the penultimate episode and the season finale!
October 6, 2011: Sorry for the delay. We’re alive. We found a few minor problems in FH50/51 RC2, so there will be RC3, which will be released (2 episodes at once) once encoded and checked. We may also release a few v2s.
August 14, 2011: Due to summer vacations, our next FH/HCR release will be after August 30th. GfW 37 might be released before that, but that's iffy.
August 11, 2011: Aniverse was down from around 6:00 till 12:00 UTC. It’s now up again (its IP address has been changed).
For advanced users: Aniverse now offers SSL connections on port 9999 or 6697. If you’re an mIRC user and want to use SSL, install Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable and OpenSSL (v0.9.8r Light will do), restart mIRC, and try:
/server irc.aniverse.com +9999

- NOTE 1: The above page says that you will need to install OpenSSL either in the mIRC folder or in the Windows System folder, but that is incorrect and unadvisable. You can install it in any folder, and the default is fine. Just make sure to select Copy OpenSSL DDLs to The Windows system directory while installing.
- NOTE 2: OpenSSL’s installer may complain about missing Visual C++ 2008 files even when you already have them installed. Perhaps it’s looking for a specific old version and complains when you have a newer one. You can ignore the warning if you already have VC2008 files installed.
- NOTE 3: You can also add Aniverse (SSL) to mIRC’s server list so you can just select it.
In File | Select Server..., use Add and add the following entry (don’t forget a + sign before a port number):

August 8, 2011: FH49 was released at 3:23 UTC (Sunday night in the US). (BT, DDL)
July 23, 2011: Maybe we’re releasing FH48 today, with GfW36 AVI. The next release after that will be FH49 (within 1–2 weeks), or HCR24 (hopefully within 2 weeks), or GfW37 (within 2–3 weeks). Probably we will release FH50 and FH51 (the last ep) at the same time after FH49.
July 9, 2011: We released GfW36 MKV (BT, DDL). We will release an AVI version later (not today). The next release will be FH48.
June 29, 2011: We released HCR23 today (BT, Direct DL), stupidly 11 months 8 days 15 hours after the previous release of HCR. HCR24+ should have a much better release schedule than this. We’re actually going to focus on HCR for a while before we start “Gyu!”. The next release will be FH48 or GfW36.
June 19, 2011: We released FH47. The next release will be FH48, GfW36, or HCR23 (hopefully within a week).
June 17, 2011: forums.honobono.cc has been upgraded and renewed. Feel free to join our cute, little forums; post your comments; and share your thoughts :)
June 17, 2011: The FH editor is back, and we’re now working again on FH47+. Episodes 47 RC2 and 48 RC2 are to be encoded tomorrow (Saturday). Then Ep 47/48 will be released if the results are okay (or else, there will be RC3).
May 22, 2011: We released GfW35 in 2 versions: the AVI version was encoded with Xvid, hard-subbed, just like old releases. The MKV version (try it!) was encoded with x264 (a newer, better compression method), and soft-subbed. This version is higher-quality; slightly more cpu-intensive, but should be ok for today’s computers. It’s smaller by 5 MB too, even though the quality is higher. Check sample images here: MKV vs AVI.
